No there is no minimum order.

Do prices include VAT?

We are not not VAT registered, therefore you do not need to add VAT on top of our prices.

Digitalising Artwork?

If you don’t already have a digital file for your artwork there are a selection of different options available. We can put you in touch with a local firm who can scan or photograph your original artwork and supply you with the high res files. Alternatively you can scan or photograph the artwork yourself. We can even send out proofs first so that you are happy with the colours compared to your original artwork.

What are the postage & packaging costs?

We try our best to keep our postage and packaging costs as low as possible, so it’s always best to ask for a quick quote first and we will try and use the cheapest method depending on what you are ordering. Below is a guide to some prices.

Flat Packed
Postage & packaging costs vary depending on items ordered. A4 prints can usually go via Royal Mail with a standard first class service at £3.49. A3 prints and A4 mounted images (up to 2 mounted prints) can go via the Royal Mail small parcel first class at a cost of £4.99. Please note for A3 prints if your image has a border on top of the A3 printed area this may take the total size above Royal Mail’s standard small parcel size and this will have to go via the Royal Mail medium parcel size which is £6.99.

Prints in tubes
Prints can be sent flat packed or in a tube. Tubes are sturdy and extra wide for fine art prints. for sizes up to 52cm on the shortest edge the price is £6.99, anything over this size and the price £12.99 via courier.

For larger orders there is a charge of £12.99 for our courier service. This is for all mounted prints, regardless of the numbers ordered you will pay just one charge. For framed orders we will try and send as many frames in each package as we can and this fee is also £12.99, but this is per package. So if you order 12 frames and they have to be sent in three packages the cost would be £38.97
For A1 framed prints the postage charge is £29.99 as they have to be sent as a different service due to the size when packaged.

What courier do you use?

We have a courier account with Parcelforce and send smaller items out via Royal Mail.

It’s fine to collect your order from our workshop in Martham, Norfolk. We run the workshop from our home address so please contact us first so that we can ensure someone will be at home to help you. Obviously postage will then not be charged for any order collected.

Images can be sent via disc in the post, dropbox, or via file transfer systems such as mailbigfile.com & wetransfer If sending files through companies such as wetransfer please use the following email address info@photographyprinting.co.uk

How many picture framing mouldings do you stock?

We stock around thirty different mouldings that are popular with photographers and fashionable amongst buyers, these are mainly blacks and plain wood finishes such as Ash, Oak & Pine. All are mouldings are wood mouldings and we don’t currently bother with the cheaper plastic mouldings / polystyrene mouldings that many on-line retailers use. We do have access to thousands of other mouldings and many of these can be ordered from our suppliers and delivered the next working day. If you do require a different moulding then please do not hesitate to contact us.

Can you post my order direct to my customer?

Yes, we understand how quickly costs can mount up for photographers & artists when arranging for work to be sent to customers particularly if you have to collect work from your printers and take to your framer, then collect the work from your framer and package the good before arranging a courier to send to your customer. We can post your item or items direct to your customers and even print out your own paper work such as receipts or letters to include with your order, we would then send our receipt direct to you via email so it looks like the order came direct from you. Obviously with framed orders the advantage is you don’t have to worry about buying in specialist packaging to pack framed orders and should an order arrive broken with your customer (with our current packaging in over a year we have had no breakages) we will replace at no extra cost.

Do you have a fully ICC colour calibrated workflow?

Yes, we use a fully icc colour calibrated workflow from monitors to printers, each paper has it’s own profile produced using X-rite’s Eye One Pro hardware and ProfileMaker Pro software. We also use rip software to get the best printing results from your files.

Can you provide ICC profiles for softproofing?

Yes, we can provide all of our profiles via email for you to download and install for help with softproofing your images. Please contact us via email and we will email you back a folder with all of our profiles enclosed.

Do you send out framed images with glass or plastic?

we actually use glass in all of our framed products although we can offer plastic such as styrene or acrylic if requested. Plastic never looks quite as good as glass in the finish product in our opinion. The cheaper styrene scratches easily and whilst acrylic looks much better than styrene it costs significantly more to buy the material. We take extra care and a long time in packaging the framed images and have found this is the way to ensure they arrive in perfect condition. All framed images are bubbled wrapped, padded with cardboard and then placed between two large sheets of MDF board. Since we reverted to this method last year we have had no breakages since.

How do you package your products?

Loose prints can be supplied in postal tubes for larger sizes and for smaller sizes we prefer to send these flat packaged and sandwiched between two sheets of MDF, this means the print will arrive nice and flat. All mounted prints are packaed between mdf sheets so that they do not get damaged in transit. Framed prints are extremely well wrapped with bubble wrap, corner protectors, packaged with stiff cardboard off cuts and then sandwiched between two large sheets of MDF.

Do you supply Giclee prints  mounted and ready for sale?

We can supply prints mounted to conversation mountboard complete with backing board, these are then supplied in print bags ready for retail. We can sell print browsers upon request.

What are the turnaround times?

Our standard turn around times are 3-5 working days for prints and mounted prints, framed products and canvas are up to 14 working days.  However, if you do require your work sooner then please do not hesitate to contact us and we will do our best to help, we can often get work completed within 48 hours if required. Once completed, images are usually sent out via our courier Parcelforce using a next day service. If you are just ordering smaller prints these are normally sent out via Royal Mail.
